ok, thanks guys, you helped make my mind up, keeping my 99 Electra Glide with 60k on it, have had no problems at all, just regular maintenance and upgraded my cam chest and put in SE 204 cams.

Default 09 ultra

Original owner just turned 25k. Fuel tank spacers & kick stand recall . Rear tire cupped at 10 k. Dunlop paid half of replacement cost. Front replaced at 10k changed to 408, Dunlop paid total bill. Replacement rear cupped again at 13,500. No other problems ( knock on wood)

Sounds like you have a solid runner...! Hang onto it... I would. If I can get a decent price for mine I'll let it go. Not sure what I will get. Like the '14 Ultra Limited, but Model Year?? Not sure got the model year '09 and look where I'm at...

Same here.
Hope my compensator goes before my ESP runs out in 16 so I can get the "new version"

I'm pretty happy with mine, and the stage II.
It's not a hot rod, it's a bagger. lolol..

27000 miles. Compensator replaced with SE at 20000. Front wheel bearings, 3 out of 4 fairing mounts otherwise normal maintenance items. Some people consider wheel bearings as normal maintenance.

Seems pretty hit\miss people with mostly just maintenance, and those who have experienced what I consider pretty excessive amount of issues... I am guessing my compensator is going to go soon....! What is the cost of that?

Do it yourself for $300 or less, dealer $500..no problems with mine other than the recalls and compensator under warranty. Front wheel bearings at 45k, now at 70k.

Did the recall stuff with the tank, the brake switch, the front tire. My radio crapped out like a lot of them, my gas gauge is swinging wildly on acceleration and deceleration. It went in to limp mode mode once and I greased up the connection to the throttle body and haven't had that happen again. Three starter clutches, but now I start it in neutral, seems to help. My kickstand is starting to feel sticky so I'll investigate what's happening down there. I did replace the compensator bolt and retorqued it to spec. I've been told that the stock compensator isn't an issue although many have replaced them with the S.E. compensator. Seems like now those are failing also. Rear tire cupped badly but lasted around 18,000 before I couldn't take the whine and vibration in the corners. Other than that all's well.

These thing sure are expensive toys to own aren't they?
In a perfect world we would all trade for new bikes every 24 months when the warranty was up.

Same here. Hope the comp, IPB and or other major items go out before my ESP expires in Dec 2015. Or if they do not go out, they last a long time
