Just replace. Motorcycle rotors are generally considered too thin to turn.

You have to have a BIG piece of equipment to do it properly and it is called a flat surfacer which is nothing more than a big lapping machine. More than likely, it isn't worth the expense or risk. Thinner rotors warp faster and also are more likely to shatter. Buy some full floating ones and you'll really like them.

With all of that being said there are always exceptions and this company seems to be one:

TruDisk in Michigan is great. Tom did my custom front rotors and the finish is fantastic. He measures the thickness and makes sure its within specs or he will not do the job. He GRINDS them, no cutting like old brake drum resurface machines. Most times its only a light grind to fix your problems. Customer service is great and he stands behind his work. He is very reasonable with his prices as well. Call and ask for Tom, he will get back to you if he can't pick up.

I bought my 2005 RKC from my father-in-law. The front rotors were warped horribly and had been for some time. Oddly enough, he didn't seem to notice or care. To me it felt like a bucking bronco at low speeds. After doing some research I decided the right thing was to install floating rotors (the Suzuki V-strom I was coming from had them and they had never warped). I did the install myself in an afternoon, although I can't believe I did that. It sort of tells you how much I hated the warped rotors. Anyway, the full-floaters have been perfect. I love them and they look amazing.
