Default Jackpot X cross over pipe

Anyone have this with their 2/1/2 jackpot headpipe?

What does it accomplish? Does it effect the tune etc?

Thanks!

For one it eliminates the "cat". Visit their website for more info or use search on this forum.

He's talking about the crossover, not the headpipe.

I got the full-size crossover with mine. Not sure if it makes a huge difference at Stage 1 levels, but it looks nice and does flow more than the stock piece.

I'm not talking about the 2/1/2 headpipe. I'm talking about the cross over pipe that attaches to the headpipe.

When I had their 2/1/2 pipe I talked to them about it. Their recomendation was to have at least a 107 with ported heads and a fairly big cam to use it.

On a stock or smaller build I'm betting it just makes the left muffler a little louder.

I have one on my cammed 103. I don't "need" it, but I wanted more balanced sound coming out of my exhaust if I'm going to be running dual mufflers. I put it on at the same time as the 2-1-2, so I can't tell you if there was any difference from the stock crossover. I can tell you that it makes sense to me to increase flow whenever possible. Combined with the 4" Rhineharts it sounds ok. Still prefer the sound of my 2-1 Thunderheader sounds from my other three Harleys, but I can do without the db levels those produce, especially with high compression.

The left side discharge of the 2-1-2 head pipe is still a bit choked down, so you're not getting near 50/50 flow. To get close you'd need one of the new Fullsac X pipes. He makes one that comes close to 50/50 flow. It's called the Fullsac DX pipe. Pretty trick:

Compared to this one, which is almost exactly like my FM 2-1-2:

I have the Jackpot crossover pipe on my 2013 Ultra CVO. When I purchased the Jackpot head pipe, the salesman at Fuel Moto stated it wouldn't help with any more power for a 103, it would slightly improve the 110, but it is designed for larger motor builds. I bought it anyway as I figured I was already spending the money for the head pipes so I might as well spend more on the x-pipe. I guess I just wanted all the toys for this bike.

I called fuel Moto and asked about the full size crossover pipe and was told that it will help some in flow to the left and that it won't hurt performance in a smaller than 110 motor.

I'd consider it if it just made the muffler level! I don't think the stock cross over was never formed correctly. Always bothered me.
Can really notice it when the bike is on it's center stand.
