Had starter clutch and comp just replaced few weeks back, all was nice till last week I felt more heat from engine and then realized there was no play at the lever...clutch was dragging ever so slightly to burn out the fluid, it wasn't slipping any. Adjusted the clutch in primary, drain and put in fresh fluid, put slack in cable...butter now.

I could reproduce the feeling of being "on ice" so I knew it was slipping. The bike has just over 7,000 miles in it and all the services - including the 5,000 mile service was done at BHD. Imagine my surprise when the told me the clutch plates need to be replaced already. To their credit they did bring it in (obviously no appointment) and adjusted the clutch at no charge. It was better on the way home but I am bummed.

Any thoughts?
I was having slippage issues with my 2011 RKC. Had same clutch spring as you have, 37871-04 (320 lbs). Switched to a SE 37951-98 spring (386 lbs) and no more issues.
