2014 bashers if you don't like what they represent, why not keep it to your self or start a thread of your own.
No reason to rain on someone Else's parade. MHO
Sometimes change is hard to accept. It's always to be that way it seems. However I agree with you. "No reason to rain on someone Else's parade." I rode some of the new bikes at demo days. Some really nice riding bikes> Maybe I"ll get one some day
And if the "bashes" started their own thread, you can bet the 2014 owners would be jumping in to voice and bash the bashes...
But, my question to you...if you post in a open forum, why can't I post my opinion?
Why not start a 2014 owners forum, they could have it all to themselves and not worry about anyone raining on their parade!
I'm quite sure that not everyone on this one agrees with me, my choice of years, my choice of colors...but then I don't require anyone's approval of my choices...if I like the 14 HD I'll say so, but if I don't like them I'll too say so...
Don't post on the internet if you don't want to hear someone's opinion? The number of pro-2014 posts seem to far outweigh the negatives here from what I've seen.
I don't like the 2014s. I don't post on people's threads telling them that, because I know they are happy they got a new bike, and I don't want to be a buzzkill.
The reason I don't like them is they made a fundamental change in their appearance. I was hoping to buy a new touring bike in a few years, and now I won't be able to get a traditional appearing touring bike. I don't like the huge tour pak, lack of light bars and large directionals, vent in front fairing. I don't care about water cooling as the bikes have a heat problem since '07 and I would like a cooler running bike.
So I think people wouldn't complain if these changes as been on the CVO and Limited, and leave the traditionalists a model like the Ultra. I wanted to retire my '03 to pasture when I retire and want to increase my touring.
So for now I hope my '03 lasts forever.
