We were out on a leisurely ride, and stopped at a scenic backroad gas station. Several other bikes already there. Several 'weekend warriors' walked up and started admiring my scooter. After walking around it several times, one finally said 'wow, you've done a lot of custom work on this' to which I replied, 'no, it's pretty much just like it was made, other than exhaust' they walked around it again. Well the paint isn't stock. Yep, that's Harley paint. 'oh, it's a screamin eagle!' Yes, it is I replied. 'but where is the wide tire, the 6 speed, the speakers in the saddlebags, etc' I said this is an OLD screamin eagle bike. 'Really? Like a 2010?' No, it's a 2006. 'wow! It looks brand new!' Yep, it's my baby.

Both I suppose. I've never been 'connected' to a bike before this one. I bought this bike the month my only child was born. A year or so later, the divorce ensued. I have pictures of me and my daughter, as an infant, a toddler, and now as a kindergartner with me on this bike (not riding of course) but I hope she will someday look back, and see how much her daddy loved her, and this bike. And hopefully, after I am gone, she can take her own pictures of her family with this same scooter, and realize the same love of family, and of motorcycles that her daddy had....
I smell what you're steppin in. Trader my 02 EGC for a 13 LTD. When the shop finished detailing my trade it looked as nice as any of the new stuff. It sold in less than a week with 80K miles. I do believe Harley has the best Paint in the industry.
