I ride everyday, some high way, some traffic, get an average of 38 mpg. On road trips with the CC set at 70 mph, I can get 41 mpg.

Mileage is effect by many thing , speed ,throttle use, starts stops.
Tune.
I did some playing with my 2013 RGU and Dynojet tuner.
103 stock engine
SE heavy breather compact
SE night stick pipes
Fuel moto 2-1-2 headers
Driving to get mileage staying under 72 mph on highway. Mileage suffered in every tune when in City riding.
Base stock map 40 mpg average ran good
Dynojet supplied map for my mods economy 44mpg
Fuel moto map 45-46 but really dropped in the city
In May we rode two up two weeks 4000 miles in the Smoky's the trip averaged 48 mpg with the Auto tune map.
Lot of just cruising.
Auto tune run on the fuel moto map 2 runs 3 hours each.
City mileage improved a lot over all mileage went up and if I really tried I could get as high as 50.1
I did get over all average with the tune of 46.xxx with this tune and a high of 50.xx on back roads just riding
Trip A is an average over 1338 mile trip B was a 75 mile morning ride on some back roads. These numbers are average over the distance Not the second by second read out you can get.

Getting about 37.5, mostly highway to work. Found running a little higher rpm helps the mileage. Maybe the 251 cams, but if I can keep it around 3K I get a little better mileage
