10 HR - stock @ 43. Now with ceramic headers, jackpots, stage 1, and tuner, 43. Range is 42- 45. Freeway run to Boise was 41, that is about as low as it gets and I am taking the two lanes home so 45 will make a trip average close to 43. Can't get used to seeing no helmets. I did not see one rider with a helmet yet today, but Ian doing urban riding if you can consider Boise urban.
I have a 2000 Ultra with PC3, Arlen Ness Big Sucker, and Rush pipes. I get mabye 38 on a day riding in the middle of our HOG chapter putting along at the speed of the slowest rider. If I am alone, I get mid to low 30's. If I am pulling the camper I can get about 31 on the back roads and down to 29 if I am trying to do 65 on the flat long boring pavement.
Your milage sounds about right to me.
I had a map from Jaime that gave me better milage, but I have a popping problem on decel. His recommendation was to set it to dump more gas when backing off on the throttle. That did solve the popping, but it also lowered my milage. It's a trade off. If I want to be gentle and ride very conservativly, I could put that map back on and get better milage. But, I like to go fast in a hurry and have the power there when I want it. (Not just when I need it. )
2005 ultra 40-43 in town,, all stock except slip ons,, stg 1 ac,, all in town driving,, need to hit the road one day to see what it gets there,, mabe a vacation is due
I also track mpg with a spreadsheet, and now with the Fuelly app.
1995 Road King - 39 mpg mostly city, 45-70 mph. (only 500 miles so far)
1997 F150 4x4 - 14 mpg combined city/highway (143,000 miles)
2010 Prius commuter - 52.5 lifetime mpg, best tank 59 mpg (10,000 miles)
makes my laugh to go 550 miles+ on $35 of gas
2005 Corvette, Heads/Cam/Headers, 4.10 gears - 21 mpg average city/highway (72,000 miles), happy with that for a consistent 10 second machine.
41MPG combined on a nice afternoon ride. '13 SG, 57H cams, PC-V tuned based on gear. 14.5 AFR in the cruise ranges 5th and 6th gear. The wife's '13 1200C gets 43-45MPG on the same rides.
