Thanks for the info on the possible intake leak, that's one thing I haven't checked and the info on trying a different map, I haven't tried that either but I will. I currently have 351 loaded but will try 352 and if that doesn't work I'll try 350. The other thing I haven't done is the 4 starts and stops during my inital ride. I've just been riding for about a 100 miles with no stops and starts during the ride. Thanks again for all the good info.

I forgot to add this for BikerGent. Zippers have only recommended changing my existing 351 map by enriching theair/fuel-tps @rpm ratioat 2560. 2304, 2048, 1792, 1536 and 1280.The 351 map had them presetat almost 15 to 1. The next setting after 2560 is 2816 and that is preset at 13.4 to 1 and I wasn't getting any decel pop at 2816 not until I got down to 2304. None of these changes have helped but I may have not given the auto tune time to work by not ridding enough miles and stopping and restarting 3 or 4 times during the ride. I only made the changes this morning and I only rode about 30 miles in the low 30 degrees. I'll be able to put on a 100 or so tomorrow. It is supposed to be in the 60s. If I get this puzzlesolved I'll let everyone know what I did or what zippers did.

cowboyglide,

I have a '07 SG that I will be setting up almost exactly like yours. Ihave alreadypurchased the new(duel O2 port)RH true duels. Did you have any trouble fitting the wide band O2 sensors from the Tmax into the RH's? I have read a coupleposts that mentioned clearance problems.

Any info you could share would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Dustin

Zert 100; No clearance problems what so ever. 02 sensors fit perfectly with plenty of clearance. The only clearance issue is for the rear nut for the exhaustflang stud on the rearcyl. You can't get a normal size wrench on it and the have room to turn it. I first tried cutting a wrench down to about 4 inches long. It gave me the clearance I needed but no leverage to be able to tighten as tight as it needed to be. I bought a 1/2 inch crows foot at sears and it worked great. You use an extention and rachet with it. Crows feet are a very useful tool to have in your tool box. I bought the whole set but you can buy only the 1/2" if you want to. Rinehart recommends using the copper high temp silicone on the muffler to pipe connection. This is important so don't skip doing it. Hope this info helps caus you are going to love the sound of the Rineharts. What a hotrod harley should sound like.

I've talked to a few with the thundermax and only heard rave reviews. Hope this isn't something that happens all the time. Mine is already on it's way. Still believe it's the way to go. Good luck on fixing issue and keep us posted.

Thanks cowboyglide! That is great news! I will have to go to Sears and pick up that set of crows foot wrenches. Like you said, it's nice to have in your tool box anyway.

BTW, did you get the new for '07 Tmax with the integrated auto tune?

Hopefully your bike will be running perfect soon!

Thanks again!

I had heard only great reviews also before I bought but after my post and some emails I have received I am finding out I am not alone with decel issues and it's not just the bikes with rineharts. I am confident these issues will be resolved by zippers or me, its just going to take some time and effort. I think it's just a lean condition the autotune is not correcting but should. Even with the poping I love how the bike runs.

I was interested in this system, but after reading 20 pages on the ins and outs of it from users on vtwin forum(in the efi map thread) My finding is its not as hot as some want you to think. It is not a bolt on auto tune unit,(wish it was!) it has a limited tuning ability that requires a presise base map be loaded for it to tune off of. Your decell popping is a result of a lean condition created when you back off the throttle, same as you get with SERT or PCIII if the map is somewhat off. You are dependant on thundermax dealers for that base map so its tuning is only as good as the map they give you. Im sticking with My PCIII for now, even with the delayed start the bike runs great. And it doesnt pop!
