Default Air shocks

IS there a pump besides the HD one that will do the rear shocks?

Correct procedures for adjusting them?

Mikeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee,

Progressive (I think) makes a pump just like the harley one. I don't know why you would want something different but your dealer should be able to find the progressive for you.

Check your air pressure and if it is too high you push the bleeder button until you get it where you want. I always add about 1-2 lbs of extra air prior to disconnecting the pump just in case you lose a pound or two.

My dealer carries both the progressive and the HD, and the HD pump was actually cheaper, so I went with it.

I stopped in today and picked up the HD one. Immediately checked my pressure and it was at 35, which is supposed to be the max.

Ted - youre a good size fella (like me). What do you set yours at for solo riding?

Maxium air pressure is 35 lbs. on the rear and 25 on the front..I run 16-18 on the rear and about 4-6 on the front, it is a little soft but with my back injury I can still ride 400-600 mile days on it, and I weigh in about 250 lbs. he wallows a little in the curves but I have become used to it

I've run mine from 5 to 35 and find that with a resonable gear load (toll kit, cover, rain gear, shorty helmet, chaps, CDs, a couple fo towels, etc.) and two up, 15 on the rear (all I have...it's an '05) is perfect....and the shocks don't usually lose air.

I didn't even know there was an adjustment in the front on an Ultra? Where is it located? I'm at work so can't look at my maintenace manual the curiosity has got the best of me.

I've never played with the various levels...is less air softer? and more air harder of a ride? [&:] Seems obvious, now that I type it, but I'll let it stand to show my ignorance.

I have a FLHT not a Ultra, maybe you don't have a air adjustment on the front, but I do on mine, its right next to the one for the rear shocks, on the right side as you sit on it behind the saddle bag lidpretty easy to see.
