Flickering GPS Power

Of course, I took the thing in the house and hooked it up to my computer and messed with it. Next time I rode my bike (03 Ultra) the darn thing started blinking, going on and off, etc. It wouldn't even stay off. Needless to say I was upset.
My buddy Shrumster, who was riding with me told me he had been reading about the problems with these GPS things on this forum.
Any way, the thing kept doing the same thing just sitting in my garage without the motor running or any movement whatsoever.
I remembered back in the 60's buying an aeresol can of "Blue Stuff" that I used on the tuner **** on my TV. So I found it and sprayed some on a rag and cleaned the brass connectors on the whole unit.
Got on the bike yesterday and rode it for an hour or so with no problems at all.
This "Blue Stuff" is made by a company called TECH SPRAY so I went to www.techspray.com and found that they still make contact cleaners. Worth a try. Mine still works like a charm.
I got my new cradle at no charge from M&M Cycle today...so Steve (UltraGeezerGlide) can rest easy knowing that the piece he broke has been replaced.
I downloaded the software update, so we'll see how it goes.
If it's still not working right, I'll get Steve to give me a hand fixing it.[sm=forgetit.gif]
