if the only thing you need is the inner cable, you can get universal cables that you can cut to fit at any auto parts store. my 85 broke and i fixed it with one of those. http://www.autozone.com/autozone/acc...ier=77678_0_0_

 

Thanks bagga .... every time I look at the outer sheathing I lean towards replacing it! Replacing the cable would fix it but for how long? I've even lowered my self worth by going to e_bay and looking around for one and nuttin !
