Default Quick Detach Kit Installed

Finally got time this afternoon and got the quick detach for the tour pack installed.... I think it took me more time cleaning the places you never see on an Ultra than it actually did for the install.. .LOL..

Before

During

After install

Looks good and I really like that color. This is on my to do list, I really like how easy it makes it to change the look of the bike.

I love the quick detach. It's like having 2 different bikes.

Wife and I were at the dealership earlier checking out the conversion kit. I really want to do it, just can't get past the $550 kit price, tho. My 13 Ultra is the same color, and yours looks really sweet without the tourpak. Guess I'll just have to suck it up and pay the man. Nice job.

Thanks Y'all... $550???? man they are sticking it to you on that...

I paid $286 for the Detach Kit and $70 for the Hidden antenna... I chose to do the hidden antenna instead of relocating.. Just for a cleaner look... You do get an antenna relocator in with the kit though...

...it only takes 30 minutes max to remove /install it using the bolts.

maybe 40 minutes the first time.

the detach kit makes better sense if the T/P is going to be on/off often.

some of us use the RK signal bar/plate mount w/led, rather than the "spoiler" that comes with the detach kit

I thought about that.. BUT.... If you do that you will have an eye sore 12"round bar hanging out back there...

Well done,
Been on the fence myself, still doing the tour-pak removal without kit. The convenience would be nice. I've been on the lookout for that steal of a deal. But until then, for me it's hard to spend that much coin.

I guess it doesn't look bad with the luggage rack... Hmmm..

I can tell y'all one thing.. Those street glide seats aren't nearly as comfortable as the Ultra is ..

Unless your partner is always riding with you try a comfortable solo seat one time. Either way that bike looks sweet without the tourpak on there. Like said before its like having two different bikes. I love the quick disconnect. It's easy and fast.
