Default Secirity Siren problem

Hello everyone; I just purchased a 2013 Anniversary Trike and wanted to take the security siren (H-D# 68958-07 - NOT the Smart II/pager) from my 2010 Ultra Classic and install on my Trike. The problem is that after installing the siren, it will go off when I turn the key on,and when I turn the key off, the siren stops.
My Fob is fine, as the security system works as it's supposed to without the siren.
I tried different procedures, (maxi fuse out - plug in siren - maxi fuse in), (turn key on, wait for the system to disarm - turn off switch and IMMEDIATELY pull maxi fuse, plug in siren).
I must be doing something wrong. What is it???

Thanks for any and all replies

Try turn key on, leave on and plug in siren when alarm is disabled?

OK...... Thanks to ANOTHER Forum, Harley issued a technical bulletin on June 18, 2009(TT408) addressing this problem. This is the drill for Tri Glides with the security siren installed.
Transmission in first, parking brake on, clutch lever out (Very important). Turn switch to on. Wait for the security light and check engine light go off. Then either pull clutch lever in or put transmission in neutral, hit the start button.
If you pull clutch lever in too soon, alarm goes off. If the transmission is initially in neutral, alarm goes off.
You should always have the Tri Glide in first when shutting off and not rely on the parking brake to hold the Trike in position anyways.
Hope this helps our Tri Glide members. (Yes, I know there is a sub forum for Tri Glides)
