i use an inexpensive auto store 12volt pump and also carry a bottle of green slime for tubed tires...the cord on the pump was extended to a total of 12 feet...i removed the p.o.s rotary on/off as it will break when you step on it..the power comes from a fused link to one of the acc. fuses...it is a little device that works by removing the acc. fuse and plugging this device in and then you have two places for fuses...one for the original acc. fuse and the second for your new item (max 10amp)., this little device will have one positive lead that you will tap into...i ran a power-point cigar lighter type female plug from here to the inside of one of the bags on my road king...kind of neat..i use this power point cigar lighter outlet for the 12v inflater, cell phone etc.
worked nice when i got a flat and the other bikers started saying cool.
Ditto here....very dependable, well built, great quality....not cheap but who wants cheap if your on the side of the road....haven't seen a better unityet
Went to Home Depot 12v air compressor for about $18 took all the plastic off. Fits in a small bag with hose, wires and has a guage attached. Changed connection so it can be plugged into the hook up for battery tender or cigarette lighter added an in-line fuse. It does get warm but works great.
