+1 on the Captain Itch holder. Then I got a pair of 1 foot or so extension cables from Gerbings and attached them to the connectors in the jacket liner. That way the ends are just below the bottom of my jacket, and I don't have to unzip to disconnect, and can leave the controller on the tank.
Very much so. I got them last year and have only had a chance to se the jacket only. The reason I we t with warm and safe is because it is wireless, compact, and rebuildAble and it is not polarity sensitive like the gerbing. I was advised by a trusted friend who travels the 4 corners on the US and has had gerbing s crap out from rain where the w&s one is bullet proof
When wearing textile jacket with belt, clipped to belt
When wearing leather jacket, use HD belt around waist and clipped to belt
Have used pocket on Leather jacket, but prefer wearing a HD belt around the jacket as the controls are easy to reach and adjust.
Tried console mount, just too many wires running around. On belt everything is is tucked in except for one wire. Easier to unplug. Also, I can ride all three of my bikes without change and could even ride yours nice and warm if you have a battery tender plug.
I reccommend the dual controls and the clip on pouch. But I understand that no one has taken my advice since my son turned 7.
not to hijack the thread, but I have a question. I used heated jacket liner and heated gloves on my street glide during the winter. now I have heated grips. even setting the dial at only a two they get very warm. think I will be able to ditch the heated gloves and just wear the jacket liner?
I clip mine (dual controller) to the left side strap on my leather jacket. The receiving plug is zip tied to the rear guard. I always get off the bike and then realize that the plug just quick dis-connected The other wires extra slack is velcro held inside jacket.
SC
Exactly what I have always done. It's easy to reach there without having to look at the controller.
