Default Vent in Windshield Question

With the new vents in the 2014 models. Has anyone run a vented windshield in the pre 2014's? And what did it do for the buffeting?

Discussion on that subject here. I'm going to try it on an old shield. https://www.hdforums.com/forum/touri...indshield.html

The old shields will not work, they changed the
dimensions of the windshield.
On my 14 SGS I could not tell a difference. I changed to a 7" and the vent seems to work.

To clarify my question further. I was asking if anyone has installed a vent in the pre 14's windshields and what thier experience was?

Yes since day one both our 07 and 08 UC have Clearview recurved vented shields and yes it reduces the wind buffeting even in slightly open position and fairing speaker even sound little better on hwy speeds with vent open then closed. Few other local HOG members have made the choice and like it.
