Man don't be calling my "Mod" Ugly! I worked real hard ordering that thing online. I mean I had to Find it for the best price, then Click Buy it now, and then even do a bunch of button pushing on Paypal...
I even had to put my glasses on.
Glad that is over.

He-he...sorry man.
Please accept my most sincere apology for your herculean effort to obtain the least becoming of all H-D 'mods'.
(I think yours looks the least ugly, if that's any consolation.)
I'm not so sure about that. After cutting mine with a metal chop-saw, and finishing it off with a grinder, I used gun-bluing solution to treat the raw end. It turned the metal dark right away, which indicates it probably would have rusted if left untreated.
I just cant think of too many reasons to use a hack saw on my bike. I removed my heel shifter and put a cap on it. If I ever sell it, I can put the heel shifter back on, some people prefer them.
I don't see the need, had rice rockets with single shifter for years, had old school Harleys with rocker style forward controls, rode bikes with suicide setups and foot clutch, never had a issue swapping across bike lines and being able to use a heel shifter or not.
Had the lengthened set of shifters on both my last and my current rides love the fact I don't need to slide my boot toe under anything to grab a gear.
