Hi all,

I had put a breather line off my SE AC and bought a 1/2 OD 3/8 ID rubber plugs. Came in a two pack at Napa so when I read the first few posts I went and tried it. A smidge long so trim it 1/8" and she looks good and isn't going to come off based on how hard it was to slid off. Thanks for the idea..........goldie

I can't believe I read through all of this thread

At least I have the lame excuse of being stuck in the Outback of Australia trying to kill time....

Off all the options here for this simplest of tasks I think the best one was they guy who put some cheap crap on and it bothered his riding buddies so he left it on ...... Think that is the one I'll go for

Sounds like you have a different shaft than I do. Mine is splined on one end, but has the transmission rod arm welded to the other end.

The Heritage shifter shaft is different from the touring shaft. You can still do the same 'cut down' mod but replacing it is a bit more costly at around $40 should you decide to go back to the heel/toe arrangement.

I just turn the heel shifter to where it's sticking straight up and call it a jockey shift.
