First let me start by saying I have always thot ABS was weird on a bike and liked the skid controlled by ME instead of the computer (all this from an auto mechanic who loves traction control and ABS on cars) and have ordered the last few bikes without it.
The 14 STS it comes standard so I thot "Whatever" I Started to pull away from a stop light (it was green, lol) and a lady flashes thru the red,,,, my first instinct is to grab the front break and slide it down. The bike abs kicked in and the brike really quickly came to a controlled stop..... It felt really weird to be in control where I knew it wasn't possible,,,,, unless a computer controlled ABS unit did it.
Now I can say WOW!!!!!!! I think I like this ABS deal. ride safe, paul
I especially like the new linked system so if you get into a panic situation on the highway and smash only one brake the system takes over and it is as if you are applying both..
