Headers for '14 limited
I have a set of Python Predator slip ons that were briefly on my '10 Limited. I took them off when I realized that as long as the CAT was in the bike, slip ons would not give me the sound I was looking for. I eventually had V&H BIG SHOT DUALS installed. I still have the Predators, and would like to use them, but not before I get rid of the Stock Headers. I'd like to know what my options are for True Dual Headers that I can replace the stock with.
I'm looking for something that's not too expensive, but that will do the job.
I looked at Cobra and V&H and Python, but except for the V&H, I don't know if they'll fit the 2014. Python has Mamba Headers for less than $400 but I don't hink they'll fit. Can someone give me some advice as to what to buy, I'm not even sure if I'm looking at the right items for what I want. I'd also like to be sure my 2010 Python Predator slipons will fit with '14 headers. Web site says they'll fit HD Touring 2008 and up. I like the idea of being able to replace slipons, an option I didn't have with the Big Shot Duals. I wouldn't mind a different sound than the V&H were giving me, maybe something deeper in tone. Thanks!

I'll give a little bit of my opinion backed by my personal experience with Harley touring bikes. On my 07 Ultra Classic with a stage II 103 I had Rinehart true duals. I just honestly feel that Rineharts are the best sounding true duals available. On my 10 Limited I had V&H true dual headers with tail gunner slipons. The V&H true duals are a great set of true dual headers. They are well built and look great and the fit and finish is top notch. The Tail gunner slip on's are the biggest waste of money I've ever spent on a Harley,...and trust me over the years I've wasted some money,.....LOL The ONLY positive on the tail gunners is they sounded good. They completely rusted up and the chrome flaked off in less than 1 1/2yrs. Very poor quality of chrome. I pulled them off and bought a set of "bargain" slip ons from J&P for less than $200 and the finish and chrome has been excellent, and the sound is great as well. Now to present time,.... I traded my 10 Limited on a 14 Limited and I pulled off my "bargain" slip ons and put them on my 14 Limited with just the stock headers and they didn't sound much different than the factory mufflers while attached to the factory headers. I then added a set of the V&H power duals and I then put my "bargain"slip ons and they sounded great. The power duals provided a lil more seat of the pants power and are noticeably cooler than the factory header with the cat installed. So,.....overall in my opinion the best sounding system is the Rhinehart true duals but they are pretty $$$$. BUT,.... the V&H power duals headers provide the sound of a true duals system with the added power gain of a x-pipe, at an affordable price. So,... since your looking for a header system take a look at the V&H power duals.
And yes,... if the headers your looking for fit a 2010+ it will fit your 14.

As far as headers the only answer is Fuel Moto...I have installed about all of them. Great fit and finish at a reasonable price...I work on a ton of bikes but have the Jackpots on mine...

Aggressive? do you mean aggressive sound or aggressive looks? After adding a set of headers,....(any brand without a cat),..... the sound aggressiveness will be determined by which mufflers that you choose.
Everyone's ear is different.
I cannot stand the sound of Rineharts. But that's just me, some guys love them.
Fuel Moto, Jackpots, are not true duals. They are an X pipe. Not saying that is bad, just saying they are not true duals.
There are a few brands of actual true duals out there. I prefer true duals, and true duals with a crossover ain't true duals.
My personal favorite is Rush Racing, ceramic coated inside and out. You already have your slip-ons, but I am going with the Rush Big Louie's this time, 4" cans give a nice deep tone.
Jackpots also sound very good to me, and it has been a long thought process for me to decide on Rush over Jackpot, it all came down to my wanting actual true duals.

i'm going to go with the V&H DRESSER DUALS, and use the Python Predators that I already have. I'm familiar with V&H products, and have for the most part been satisfied with them, only had small issues with the Power Duals, I always felt like the power chamber was acting like a cat, subduing the tone, at least that"s the way it sounded to me. Hopefully the dresser Duals will sound like true duals when I have the mufflers on!
