Thinking of doing the same but mounting one on either side behind the saddle bags

i bought the fiamm horns. Now they're on the shelf in the garage. They're not worth the time or effort. there is no real improvement over the stock horn as far as I'm concerned. I"m in the process of installing a separated bad boy. We'll see how that goes. As far as my experience goes, air horns are the only thing that are going to get the attention of distracted drivers... if even THAT is enough. I've had too many close calls while laying on the stock and fiamm horns and the drivers don't even look up.

Yea Dawg, that's where I had mine mounted, but the plastic was starting to wrinkle from the heat.

Speaking of new horns other than stock ... Very thankful I installed this "real" horn on my ride. Mounted right where the original was. No rewiring needed.

It's a loud, affordable air horn. Seen this at a cycle shop for $79, picked it up at the autozone for $39. It's the same exact unit, often called a mini beast.

Would have been nice if I could have put the Harley chrome cover back over it. But really it isn't an eye sore. Just the right size to fit nicely. I did glue the little chrome cap down because the bike's vibs made it rattle.
