I know the bike has the premium ride hand-adjustable rear shocks, but does is have the standard cartridge fork kit or the premium single cartridge kit in the front forks?

No cartridges, just the same damper rod system found in a Dyna. No imitation emulators either as found in the 2006~2013 FLHX models. You have the exact same thing as a dyna but with different size holed in the damper rod for compression & rebound. Go to your dealer and there you can find their parts person that can print you a copy under 2014 > Touring > FLHX KBM > Fork, Front, Right & Left (Fairing Models). There you will find your answer that I just gave you.
That is probably due to the much better top tree design, which supports the fork tubes properly, at long last! Torsional stiffness of the front forks is greatly improved, from what I read.
