Default Just picked up a new FLHX!!!

I'm pretty new to the bike scene! I had bought a used Nightster in late July and immediately knew I needed a little more comfort! My wife and stopped at our local dealer yesterday looking to pick up a couple hooded sweatshirts. Needless to say, my wife said that she liked a particular bike they had on the floor. I had her show me and she took me to a Black Denin Street Glide. I really didn't feel like arguing over us getting a new bike..... Filled out the paper work and we rode it home. I must say it is completely different than riding my old nightster and it will take some getting used to. Had to order a front lowering kit that will be in later this week. After that is installed I should be good to go. I guess if I had known I was going to buy one I would have kept growing...haha

Awesome bike..I have an 11 SG in Denim Black..If you ride LONG DISTANCES and are under 6 ft I recommend getting a back rest...You won't believe the difference it makes in your comfort level..plus it is removable in about 5 seconds for short trip.

Great looking bike. I have not seen one of the new ones in the flat black. I like it.

Congrats! I bought the same bike a couple weeks ago. Why are you lowering the front end? Just curious to learn why some riders do that.

I am lowering it because I am only 5'5'' and I am not able to sit on the bike flat footed. To be honest I am not completely comfortable on the bike yet. I feel like I am on my tippy toes at a stop light. I am only having the front lowered 1''. This should put my in my comfort zone, and if it doesn't I may have to explore other seat options.
