I'm not gr...

But...

I put a set of 12" Hand Adjustable shocks on my 14 FLHTK. You could go a bit cheaper with 12" air shocks, and you could put a lowering kit in the front end as well, if the shocks aren't enough.

But its like you sit back and actively search out shock and suspension posts so can can tell the world why they have to upgrade to the best suspension possible, rather than realizing there can be a happy medium for many riders.
Thanks for the compliments, but I haven't suggested in here that we should all upgrade to the best suspension possible! I don't advocate that anywhere and haven't even done it myself, just can't afford or justify the expense. However there are superior quality shocks available, at long last, that allow us Harley owners to enjoy a quality riding experience. We can even lower ride height and maintain, or improve upon, ride quality - a win-win all round!

They are getting good reviews on HDF and they look like a good purchase. At long last the MoCo are supplying upgraded shocks themselves and not leaving that market to others!

I have a 2007 Road King classic. I added a 3 in 1 lowering kit. I had it set at the lowest position. It looked great but as I was warned, I too wore through the wire harness that is located under the fender within the first week leaving me with zero lights in the back. I reset the lowering kit to the middle position and added some air in the air shocks and haven't had a problem since.

Anyone used the LA Choppers lower blocks with the 13" hand adjustable shocks? I have the 12" and they are fine, but wondering if the 13" would be an even better ride?

While at the dealer the other day I ask if Harley made a lowering kit and that was a no.
He said to stay away from L.A. Choppers as they have had many returns from breakage.
I researched blocks and bought 1" from Tamarack for $90. Very high quality and very happy so far.
I put a pair of 13" Harley adjustable's on last year but was not happy with the 1" raise. It not only made the ground reach worse it also changed the windshield height and head light to low. The headlight was already at max height so by lowering back to stock height it brought it back into my liking and the windshield higher by 3/4" which doesn't sound like much but you cant believe the amount of bugs in the face I got before and no only on occasion.
This kit keeps the shock in line with the swing arm and angles it back slightly. You will notice that Harley angled the shock area back on the bags to maintain proper clearance.
