I just had my 2012 Road Glide Custom Dyno tuned. I had it done by Dale at Cycle Performance Center; in Orlando, Florida. I had purchased a Power Commander V from Fuel Moto and installed it with a "Map" supplied by Fuel Moto. And I have a oil tempature gauge installed in this bike as well.
I had oil temps that exceeded 300 degrees! I couldn't believe it! I asked the "expert" service staff at HD Orlando East, and they said suuuure! 300 is normal! yeah right!
There was nothing I could do, so as a last resort I broke down and took that poor bike to get a dyno tune on my PC-V.
We pulled the 02 sensors and the front sensor was black and sooty. The rear sensor was pure white!
The "Map" was pure junk. That is all I will say. I know that you fuel moto loyalists will flame me but so what.
The bike now runs awesome and the oil temp does not exceed 230 degrees.
My point is that you cannot get a map from anyone, no matter what they promise you, your'e gonna have to get your bike tuned where you live so you know what is in your tuner. I am not saying that Fuel Moto is at fault, only that you have to do things yourself if you want it right. Lesson learned.
You either got the wrong map or your bike is drastically different in some way than bikes with your setup that use that typical map.
Just way too many "good" fuelmoto maps out there being used by the public. Literally thousands and thousands without problems.
Before someone else says it, "really wish you'd have called fuelmoto first to get the scoop before posting here". They would have told you 300 is way out of line for "normal" and done something about it - for free.
Did the tuner give you a chart of the values he used? In the back of my mind I wonder about a slight intake leak on the jug feeding the "white" O2 sensor and that leak was compensated for with the new map.

Let's see.......you bought a tuner & map from FM......something wasn't right and instead of calling the folks you bought it from you talked to "experts". Then you had it tuned and now it's fixed. Maybe. You hope. And you STILL didn't contact FM, the guys you bought it from, and instead you come on here talking ***** about the folks when they never had a chance to correct a "possible" mistake.
C'mon man.....why am I gonna call Wisconsin, when I am in Florida. I am just sayin' better to do it right instead of buying "maps" off the internet!

The bike runs better and cooler. When I bought the stuff I told them what I had and they sent me the "map". I think I should have just done this locally.
One size fits all will work sometimes and other times it won't.
Dynotuning with a competent tuner is the only way to get it 100% right.
All you people with canned maps can settle for pretty good, but you will never know awesome until you try it.
Don't doubt that a bit. Especially those of us running the OEM narrow band O2 sensors. There is a lot of area in the tables that don't get addressed, unless we go in and manually change them.
