I spent the last two days, with a friend of mine, escorting some British wounded warriors around Northern Arizona. They were in Williams and supposed to go to the Grand Canyon but that wasn't gonna happen. We knew they were there, having escorted some others through the Petrified Forest earlier this year. Anyway, we went to Williams and offered them an alternative. They liked the idea so Thursday morning we headed south and took them over Mingus Mtn and through Sedona/Oak Creek canyon. We also stopped at Meteor Crater and in Winslow before we got to Holbrook where thy stayed at the Wigwam Motel. The last 3 were on their normal schedule.
Today (Friday) the Petrified Forest was still a no go so we took them down through Salt River Canyon. Lunch at the American Legion post in Globe, then across Roosevelt Lake and back up to Payson where they already had reservations.
The people running the tour liked it so much they are trying to figure out how to work it into the next tour when they come back next year.
Seeing these guys, some with missing arms and legs, riding on the back of these Harleys (and a couple Wings) smiling and laughing and taking lots of pics and videos off the back of the bikes was wonderful. I hope to get to help out again next year when another group comes through.

That was a very good thing to do. I would think you got as much out of it as they.
One thing I like about the Brits, they are natural tourists. Nothing is to mundane, uncool, foolish, uncouth, etc. They'll jump in on almost anything and have a ball.
Good on you and your friends. If I were closer......
Awesome! While the man who is squatting in the Whithouse along with his minions in the senate play games, y'all still found a way to tell these guys "Thank you!"
Thanks for doing this, and for sharing! With all the crap from those thugs in NYC still going on, things like this show what a real biker is!
As a Brit new to this site, it was really great to read this post. Thanks to everyone involved in this especially to CH54 for posting - I bet our guys loved it.
