It's been sitting in a drawer for about 6 weeks. Worked great last time I used it on my old 2009 Street Glide. Plugged it in wed to my computer to do the updates for the 2014 models and I had to plug it in about 25 times to get it to power up. checked the usb cable no problems there. Checked the usb ports on my lap top they all work with my ipod and phone no problem there. Even tried it on the bike with my new pv2 cable and it wouldn't power up, not gonna do that 25 times , somethings up? Fuel Moto closed till Monday any ideas guys, any one else have a sudden problem with theirs. Its all updated and I got my new UNLOCK License Friday but I'm afraid to install it on the power vision because of this problem. Maybe have to wait till Monday when I can contact FM It's almost a year old unit.
PS: what's the little red button looking thing on the unit? Tried to push it but it doesn't seem to do anything, not like a normal button or switch?
I believe the USB cable is bad. Until you get the firmware updated on the PV it won't be recognized by the 2014 bike. The usb cables are bad about going out.
I thought the power vision was permanently connected to one bike and you could not use it on multiple bikes.
do you mean 'connected' as in affixed to the bike? if so, no that is not true. if you mean 'married' to a specific vin, that is true. however, you can get a dual tune license to have it recognize 2 bikes, or even a 'tuner' license for 3 or more. they are $199 for each additional license though.
but the powervision unit itself can be used on any compatible bike to read and clear codes, monitor gauges, etc. just not to flash a tune.
I agree, but if the PV dies, how do you get the map back into the ecm?
if you have the map backed up on your computer, and the pv dies, then you get it replaced (under warranty hopefully). then you transfer the map from your computer back into the new pv.

Didn't think you could buy a replavement unit. Thought u had to buy a complete new pv.
not sure how dynojet would work with you on that. fuelmoto doubles the factory warranty so if you buy it from them, you get 2 years instead of one. i did read one report where a guy had dropped his pv unit and broke the screen and dynojet sold him a replacement unit for about $200.
but either way, however you replace it, be it warranty, discount, or full pop, the procedure would be the same.....
