Default Legends Revo's

I currently have Progressive 444 rear suspension on my 2011 limited. My buddy is looking to upgrade his factory air suspension and was introduced to Legends "new" Revo spring suspension. They were just released in July-2013 and could not find any reviews. Does anyone have any experience with these. Thanks.

I have a 2011 Ultra Limited also, and am considering new shocks. Pretty much decided on the 944, but was at a local dealer yesterday, and saw a brochure on these Revos. Nobody could tell me anything about them, so I'll be watching this. Were the 444s a big improvement for you? Knowing what you know now, would you have gone with 944 or was 444 OK?

I went from the factory air shocks to the 444's (12"). I needed to lower my bike 1" to get my feet flat on the ground. My choice was dictated by finding these 444 new for $325. I can tell a big improvement. I will get mono shocks on the front next. Our local HD dealer raved on the new Revo's and got my friend interested. Based on the mfg's history they should be very good. Found them on Direct Cycle Part for $619. Thanks.

Been looking at these myself for my 2014 Limited. So what is the verdict on them?

Ok,I have the 12" Revo"s now. Sadly I have not been able to put massive miles on them, but my overall impression around town is:

Noticeably better than my stock 12" CVO shocks, but far from the dramatic difference I hoped for. They are very smooth, but I still had a few jarring rattles over some dips that made me wonder what good the shocks were for. I intend to make some calls and adjust these to go re-try them. I had the installed and have no idea what they are set at. I am 5'11" and about 195, ride solo, and will adjust accordingly.

Overall, I rode my uncles 2013 ultra road glide and it's stock 13" are way smoother-- but a bit bouncy/too soft.

I think these will be great when I make a slight adjustment to make them softer.

They are a bit stiff at the moment, but I am happy I did them. They are noticeably better.

I'll come back and give a final review after next week when I have time to timber and test them.

Also-- I did Progressive monotubes up front at the same time, and they are great. Highly recommend them. Almost no dip when braking, incredible.

I just ordered a set of 13" Revo's for my 2014 SG, my dealer said they should be here Tuesday or Wednesday at the latest.
The salesman that sold me my SG has ridden 4 bikes with them on and said they're amazing. He's also putting a set on his RG.
The season is pretty much done here in Wisconsin but if I get a chance to test them yet this year I'll give you my review!!
Ride safe!!
Jim

My 2 cents.
if the revo's are riding too hard with little milage on them consider this. My '14 sgs with stock shocks ( premium ride hand set preload) had a super hard ride,,,at first. But I noticed that after approx. 700 miles the ride improved greatly as if I put different shocks on my scooter. My wifey also felt the difference and now after 1000+ miles it rides like a 'normal' HD tourer. So maybe after a little break-in the shocks will improve.

Once you get them adjusted and more miles I would be interested to see how much better they perform. Right now I'm up in the air between the Revo and Ohlins.

Ok, I'm back.

I now have GREAT NEWS !

These shocks are fantastic. I had them too stiff for me. Now they are softer and I can really tell a difference! I am very very happy with them.

Also, not only were they too stiff-- they were not the same on each side! Major difference now.

I have 1" of thread showing on each side now for those of you who want to compare. Prior to that I would bet there was nearly half and inch or more showing ( one and half inch total--making the shock more stiff-- preloaded)

So the verdict is: These are really an upgrade! I have the 12" shocks on my CVO Road glide, I imaging the 13" are even better.

I expect these to soften even more as they break in, and if they get too soft, I will adjust them accordingly..
