Complete teardown, cleaned everything up nicely, removed old cams, installed new cams, cleaned everything up again, and then put it all back together. Everything feels great.....no binding, same exact feel as with the 26's in there.
All that is left to do tomorrow is the pushrods, reinstall some chrome, reinstall the exhaust, install the map to the PCIIIusb.........and start her up.
Thanks for the gaskets Brad......I like how they are black again for the cam cover. The S&S one is white and showed around the cover....took away my stealth build......LOL
Good luckfiring her up tomorrow and am anxious to herewhat you think of the 34's.I originally thought of putting themin my 95" build, but like many others stayed withthe tried and true 26g's.
After a little 6 hour nap, I'm ready to get working again. About 2 hours of work left, and I'll be hitting the start button.
I wish I could get it dynoed, but I'll have to wait a bit for that. I'd like to go back to R&R so the comparison will be done on the same dyno, but I don't think that will happen. A local shop is planning on having a dyno truck at his shop this spring, so I'm planning on using that.
I'm going to use my same map that I've been using, but I input the HQ timing maps. I think that will be close enough until I can get on the dyno. I'm waiting to hear back from the dyno truck about when he is coming to the local shop.......he also comes up to Maine to do a housecall at a guys house that is about 30 minutes away from me. So one way or the other, I'll get it on a dyno as soon as I can find time on a weekend.
