Has anyone out there ever tried this and if so what parts did you change (shocks, kits, swing arms, tires and wheels etc) and where did you get them and if you ran into any problems (before or after installing). All suggestion and ideals welcome. Thanks
1 post? You're going to come back to this thread in two weeks and find guys talking about taking the wheels off and riding on the brake rotors to the Roswell conspiracy. When/if you come back, type "lower" into the search this forum box and grab a drink and order pizza. Tons of info to be had.

Idea - a thought, plan, or suggestion about what to do.

Ideal - exactly right for a particular purpose, situation, or person.

Now let's use them in a sentence...

Buying the motorcycle was a bad idea.

He bought the ideal motorcycle.
Glad i'm not the only sarcastic individual here

never heard of the search function, or maybe you have but it isn't rocket science to learn how to use if for the most part......

if that fails...... stand next to your bike, stand it up and put the kick stand in the riding position and quickly let go of the bike and move away.....BAM ON THE GROUND!

Be cautious when making decisions to "slam" it low. Baggers are wide and WILL SCRAPE while cornering. Google search Baggers with air suspension to find plenty of info on the subject.

I don't think that you're going to get much support here with your question. Keep in mind that you have entered a touring forum. Most here do mods that improve the touring experience, rather than compromising the ride by turning them into a grocery getters.

In whatever decision you make... Good luck and ride safe!

HD had the Street glide shocks that are 1" lower, and there are many aftermarket companies that have lowered shocks. (progressive comes to mind)

I have a Tour pak quick detach hardware kit for mine and I removed the saddlebag rails changed out the big lolly pop rear signals, mounted my plate below the taillight, added fillers between the bags and fenders. When running without the trunk, I put on a low profile seat. These kind of mods will point you in the direction (looks wise) that you are going for. A slimmer front wheel and shorty windshield will also add to a sleeker look.

Welcome to the forum, you will learn a lot here, but you will take some harassing as well (as you can see by some of the posts)

Nice job Looks good!!

Hi Steelerdude1
I am in the process of putting the docking kit on my bike. I was looking at your pic's and wanted to know about the crome cones where the lic bracket was. I want to remove the bar too and wondered what you did there. Did you buy a bracket with the cones on them or cut your bar off and put cones on some how?
