On the SG the antenna bracket is removed from the frame, and the feed line is coiled up under the seat as it's disconnected at both ends when the hidden AM/FM antenna is installed in the fairing.
If the AM/FM antenna is removed from the trunk on those models, I suppose a nice chrome round head bolt could be installed in the trunk's hole. The CB antenna can be relocated to the lower rear saddlebag rail with a HD adapter kit and extension coax.
If desired, there are shortened AM/FM and CB whip antennas available from various motorcycle radio accessory dealers.
Then there's the Victory Vision I owned. Victory decided that for some odd reason visible antennas didn't fit the bike's look they wanted. So they buried the whip antenna in the right fairing heading upside down.
Normally orientation isn't critical as long as it's somewhat vertical for FM, but they buried it next to the metal components supporting the frame and fairing, and tied the ground plane frame to the whip base with a short wire.
The antenna laid next to the frame ground plane and the bike's wiring/ignition was almost worthless due to the nearby noise and compromised receiving pattern. An amplified dipole antenna like some stuff in their front fairing is a far better solution providing the adjacent electronics are quiet.
What was Victory thinking? Even Mid-Western farm tractors have good radio setups.
