Wth!! Help
so i just purchased a new 2013 SG and as I am on third gear or fourth and let the bike glide I feel a shake that is stressing me out. I cant explain it, its as if as it starts to slow down without holding the clutch or moving the throttle, the bike shakes. I took it to the dealer and they could not ID it. They said that it is normal almost as it when you drive a stick shift and it starts to slow down without pushing the clutch it asks for you to shift. I am new to the SG world coming from a soft tail and never had this problem.

Yes lower gears. Don't know what chugging or lugging is. It's more like a strong vibration.

It's stronger than the vibration you feel while in idle. It's as when the RMP are going down

Check the torque on the bolt that holds the exhaust pipe to the bracket on your crossover behind the tranny in front of your rear tire. Mine was too tight after I swapped the stock exhaust for headers, and I had the vibration you are describing. It's one of those quirky things that has to be just right or it transfers the vibration of the pipe to the frame at certain RPM's. Too tight or too loose and it'll happen. I don't know the torque requirement, but I'm sure someone on here has the manual. My local dealer checked mine and adjusted it, no more vibrations.
