I want to powder-coat my fender tip and side trim black but the tip is plastic (don't want to paint it). Will this one fit my '09 Electraglide Standard? http://www.ebay.com/itm/271163892490...84.m1423.l2649
If not does anyone know of one that will?
I don't want the tip light and have a road king custom tip on it now.

From what I can make out the basic design of the front fender has remained unchanged for literally decades. I have an 08 fender in my 1990 bike and they swapped over with no problems. I hesitate to confirm that tip will fit yours, on the other hand I will be surprised if it doesn't!
You don't want to keep your front fender running light? What's wrong with painting the plastic tip?

Seriously? Ya got no helpful knowledge or info but ya want to question my personal choices? But ok? I think tip lights look dumb and the little light is useless, especially on the front. The reason for the tip is protect the paint on the fender so painting it kinda defeats the idea. Plus I'm a terrible painter, and painting a cheap fake chrome plastic part with lots of detail is a complete pain if ya want the paint to stick and look good. I sure don't want to pay $100-$200 to get it painted!! Think it would just be a different functional look to powder-coat the tip & trim black rather then bolting on a SG fender like everyone else.
Does anyone know of a metal tip that will work?
Kind'a what I'm thinking but hard to believe '49up and the seller has no clue?
That's asking a bit much! There's over sixty years between that part and your bike. How old are you?! It will hardly break the bank to buy one and see if it fits.
Nope. I see your point. I don't think powder- coating works on plastic and the tips HD sells ARE cheap plastic. Are you looking for a minimalist "look"?
National Cycle makes some metal tips. A little on the pricy side but their all metal. I bought just the front tip and had it powder coated black. Didn't really want to but HD paint quality control in 09 wasn't the best from what I've read and a few of us got bubbling paint on the front fender tips and on the rear fender where the light wires exit from.

Thank you for answering my questions even though they were, apparently, very insensitive and judgemental. My curiosity gets the better of me sometimes. I apologize.
