Default Replacing Gauge lights

My lower left gauge light is out on my instrument panel. I pull the bat wing outer shield but cannot get to the instrument without unplugging a bunch of wiring and major removal of other items. Can I pull the gauge out from the front of the panal to get at replacing the light bulb?

I believe you have two nuts holding the gauge in place. You can get the light out it's just a pia to get to

Try a set of long reach needle nose pliers, worked like a charm for me.

Yes the gauge comes out from the front but it is secured from the rear. Just do what he ^^ said and you won't have to remove the gauge. BTW all the gauges are the same configuration so you can practice pulling the bulb from a gauge that is easier to get to.

Thanks...that worked. Still don't get why HD uses those orange condoms on the lights...why not just put in colored bulbs or LED in the first place? Anyway, thanks for the help.
