I'm looking to go to a 10" mini ape. I'm trying
To decide between monkey bars, prime apes or wild 1 chubby bars. Seems like the la chopper bars are quite a bit wider than the others? What cable or wires will I need to extend for my 2013 SG? any opinions on these bars?
I went with Prime Apes (13" so cant help with they cable question) they are wider then the MBB which is one reason I went with them I think they look meaner another they are made here in the good ol U.S.A. unlike the MBB bars
Installed with all OEM components and rerouted the clutch cable, after a few thousand miles I went with a longer clutch cable and ran it through the fairing like OEM. The wires were ran inside the bar tubes, no problems and no extenders are required.
These bars are 100% improvement over stock, but after a long ride I noticed that the outer parts of my palm were hurting due to the grip angle of the bars. I am now looking at 12" bars with less grip angle, I believe the 575's are 42 degree.
Ive been following this tread, i have been thinking of apes also..are the 10 inch really higher than stock? local dealer said stock bars have a 10 inch rise already and mine feel low causing shoulder pain...i have heritage bars on my road king but they wont fit on my ultra
