I bought the ESP ask a package deal with my last trade. Shouldn't I have gotten something in the mail explaining coverages?

I have had to use this from time to time. I was on a trip with a new rear tire in Kentucky one summer, 114 degrees and humid out... ran something over and blew the rear. 4:30pm on a Saturday.
Called Man O'War HD in Lexington and they sent a recovery truck, stayed late and got me fixed and set me up in a Hampton Inn for $39.
I'll never roll wothout the warranty again.
Thanks for all the replies, I have the wheel and tire coverage but have never used it so the responses are helpful.

SafetyMan - so it covered the truck and the hotel? not bad at all

The regular ESP, covering the motorcycle, has a $50 deductible, whereas the tire and wheel coverage is $0 deductible for an repair or replacement with 3/32 or above of tread depth.

One thing to be careful of is even wheel coverage is based on tread depth. so if you tear up a wheel when you get a flat with less than 3/32, you are coming out of pocket for everything.

You do have to be careful of this, Harley-Davidson has the right to send an inspector for all ESP claims, whether it be for tires or for powertrain, to investigate fraud.

So just be leery of rolling into a shop with a screw in a tire that has no scuffs or anything on the head that would show that it's not been ridden on at all.

Moral of the story: Park down the street at McDonalds parking lot, and put the screw in, then ride over to the dealership. haha

Just found out the hard way about that. Street Glide is in a Florida Dealer for an oil filter adapter leak. Dealer called said that my back tire needed replaced. I said that I had tire and wheel coverage so go ahead. Dealer said tire only measures 2/32's left. So.....$377.00 for a rear tire installed. I make sure it isn't that worn next time, you can believe that!

Did not cover the hotel. They had me out the door by 7pm, and called the Hampton Inn down the street and they gave me a special price of $39 for the night.

I guess I must deal with some d€#k heads at ESP because I am a service writer and call these in all the time. They tell me 4/32. I will check tomorrow my self and call.

I've used the W and T extended plan more than once. 3/32 is acceptable but it's measured at numerous points on the tire. If it's a hair past that, get your credit card out. Buy a tire depth gauge so you can determine this independently.

Couple other things - if you get a flat and can't get it to the shop, you are not a priority for the pick up, i.e, the job doesn't pay much to the dealer/ tech, so you might be sitting a while or longer for a pick up. Saw this first hand.
The inspector seems to come out to look at the tire if it's more than your first flat under the contract based on what I've seen. He's there in a couple days. The dealer might tell you otherwise because he decided that since the job doesn't pay much, you are at the end of the line. Don't let the service manager b.s. you about him not getting there and that's why your bike is collecting dust.

Your results may vary, past performance cannot predict future results.
