i had a small mishap in the garage as well that messed up the front fender on the wife's bike. for about the same price as the stock fender, i ordered the cvo fender in prime and had it painted big blue pearl with the matching pinstripe.
it isn't an obvious difference from stock as a klockwerk slicer fender, but it does sit about 3/4'' closer to the tire, and down a little bit in the fork, which gives more clearance for the proportioning valve under the triple tree to not dent your fender when you hit those huge potholes here in la.
Its gonna be sitting for a few months, after the nap, ride the chit out of it, dont worry bout it, its a battle scar! That looks like it can be fixed, take it to a paintless dent repair place.
If your bike was older with mucho miles I would say touch it up, seal it and keep on riding. However, in your case I suggest pulling the fender (it's not like your going to be riding anytime soon) and take it to a body shop that you trust. Get a quote in writing and tell them you need it back in 30 days. This will give them plenty of time to work it in. My guess is you would get in back inside of 10 days.
