Sorry to hear about your fender, but seven months? I see you live in Illinois, as do I. I'm not putting my bike up until they the first time they salt the roads good. And then it'll be back out the first part of April. A couple years ago, we were still able to ride the week before Christmas. Not for hundreds of miles, but at least we still got to ride.

I know. I remember a couple years back, we had a very mild winter, i road ALMOST all winter. I will not ride when the salt hits the ground, nor will i ride when the temps don't alow me to feel my eye ***** (add joke here). Besides, i look foward to taking out the snowmobiles and giving the scoot a rest.
Ok, i have to vent.
Last night I'm cleaning up the garage to store the SG for winter. After filling it with gas, stabilize fuel, spray a bit of fogging oil in the cylinders and wax the bike, i roll it on the dolly to put it in position for the next 7 months. At this point i forgot to remove a small 4x4 piece of wood i had under the front tire and i roll over it, it gets caught under the front fender and bends the hell out of it chips the paint. DAMN... some one please call me a dumb ***, quick.
Now the question is, do i replace it with a stock fender, or do i look for a custom after market fender. Any suggestions?
Hey, you are from Obummer land, never let a crisis go to waste. Get a custom fender.
7 months, really?
Can't call you a dumb *** cause we all have done dumb ****. Last time I filled up the auto shutoff on the nozzle didn't and I had gas everywhere. Fortunately for me, no damage. Like others have said, get some heated gear and extend your riding season. Good luck going forward.
I know! I scrolled back up to see where the OP was from and thought it was going to say Alaska, or at least someplace in Canada. I'm sure they sell Under Armor and chaps in Illinois!
