Default Does the 14 inch windshiled have a buffeting issue

I currently have a stock windshield but Im considering buying the 14 inch one for a better look. Can anyone tell me if the 14 incher keeps the wind out of your face without buffeting? Im 5'10" with a 32 inch inseam.

pt 2:

the larger a windscreen- the larger and deeper the low pressure zone in the cockpit.

this pressure differential is what leads to uncontrolled air entering the cockpit from the sides, below, above and the rear...."buffeting".

the buffeting experience can be complicated by helmet choice.

a couple of things to think about as you ride- you can feel air currents at various speeds with your hands and decide what approach works best for you

when you can add those minor details such as year and model to your posts

I went down to a 10" screen, as I had the top of the stock screen right at eye level, I had to stretch to see over it or slide down to get under it.

Now I can see over the top edge and I still get no blast of wind to the head the screen as the screen deflects it nicely

and IMHO it looks better too

6' tall 32 " inseam

LRS shields -- ultra recurve -- if you ride two up get that model -- we found it really does work

I got the one that was 2 inches shorter than stock

Had the H-D 14" wind deflector on 07 FLHRS yes there was buffetting, I got a 18" LRS
recurve mounted it the 7 bolt frame, put on under fork baffle, and fork wind deflectors
almost all buffetting was gone. Now the 07 RK Custom is gone.

The fork wind deflectors made the biggest improvement on my FLHTK.
They made no difference on my FLSTC
