I actually called Long Ride Shields prior to purchase and was told they've never heard of it but looks promising and that if it damages my shield send it back and they'll replace it. So kudos to LRS for that as well.
Let us know if you get this how it works

Thanks for all the replies.
I've decided to put my 7" shield in for the trip. (The tallest one I can look OVER)
And thank you for the link to the cee bailey water repellent.
I actually ordered one.
And I'm hoping that the weather forecast is wrong! Lol.
I'll be getting my motor worked on in Fort Worth (by Steve at GMR who used to be in Prescott, only 100 miles from where I live, vs 1,000 miles I gotta ride now!!)
107", cams, heads and clutch. I'll post about it in a separate thread. Stay tuned!

It's a bit cheaper to order straight through Cee Bailey

I have used rain-X on my face shield with no bad effects.
As mentioned above, look left, look right and the wind cleans the water off.

Might also want to keep a microfiber towel within arms reach for wiping spray off face shield or windshield. Have ridden daylight in the rain numerous times but only once at night and do not care for it with semi's and cages around with lots of glare.

Some windshield manufacturers recommend the use of Rain X. My Clearview poop sheet says to use "Original Rain X". It all depends on what kind of plastic is used to make the shield.

this is true to some extent in as much as it will work. The chemicals in rain-x will over time dry out your windshield and become hazy or crack and then nothing you can do about it. This is regardless of plastic type.

Does clearview stand behind their product like LRS does? I was actually kinda surprised when LRS customer service told me (after they verified the product descriptions) to try an unknown aircraft product on their shield and if something happens, they would replace it.

Even rain-x website states to not use their products on ANY type of plastics.
