Can we add the satilite radio to our 14's if it didn't come with it?

Because I thought it came with the bike, I don't mind adding it to my already XM account.

Smile infotainment with Garmin Road Tech 660

I managed to pair my Garmin Road Tech via Bluetooth to the 6.5 system. I have a load of music on my Garmin card and the Nav voice, etc from the Garmin mutes the music as required. I can control all of the volumes from the bars and still have all the functions of the 6.5, yet have my Garmin for nav - sound and voice through the 6.5 system - so I don't have to use the infotainment system for nav, but have all the other functionsthat it has.

I was told when I first started looking that XM was included, if you pay for the subscription. By salesmen at 3 different dealers. If I'm not mistaken, it's listed that way in some of their errant literature.

I've had XM for years in my cars, trucks... even with a Road Tech unit on my Road Glide Ultra, which is useless without AUX input on the '14.

But it did get me to do something I said I'd never do... bought an iPod Nano. With the stuff I've bought for the wife, kid, and my CDs, I've got almost 500 songs so far.

Sorry..... got a bit off topic....

Sounds interesting. Might be the best way to be able to use routes with lots of waypoints and hear the directions coming from the bike's radio speakers. Can you stow the 660 in the TP & monitor the route using the 6.5 Nav (obviously w/o using routing) in order to keep the bars/inner fairing clean?

Thanks.

yes you pay the dealer about 300 and then slide the sat computer board into you radio. there is a plate on the back of your radio covering it

Yes, I was holding the Garmin beside the bike, so it should Bluetooth from the tourpak fine. You could use the optional car charger and mount plugged into the Tourpak 12 volt power socket to keep it powered. However, you would obviously have no control of the Garmin touch screen and it's functions etc, once under way ! Still, something to try.
Harley do a mount which bolts to the clutch reservoir perch bolts and holds the Garmin just right of the reservoir in front of the flat panel beside the Infotainment screen. Part number 76000191A.

My buddy and I both have 2014 FLHTK. I plugged in a memory stick to get the "fingerprint" off of the navigation system to explore NaviExtras and it worked great. My buddy with an identical 8 gig memory stick followed exactly the same procedure and keeps getting the "failed" message. We tried reformatting the stick, rerunning the procedure, moving the bike outside for better satellite coverage, etc. Nothing works. Any suggestions?

Generally I am fairly internet savvy. I have updated my boom box but could not figure out how to do the update for the gps. I hate to ask you to give me a good detailed description but if there is a link that you can provide that would be helpful
