I can recieve texts just fine on my iPhone 5 on ATT with iOS 7.03. I have iMessage on. It will only show you texts that you received after you turned the bike on. It wont load your inbox. It won't send out on auto reply however.

The Apple IOS will not allow an auto reply. They don't even have an app for it. Auto reply works great if I use my Galaxy S3, but the Iphone will not.
Well went out to the garage today, turned the the bike on and wham now my text messages show up on the radio. It does not do an audible alert but a messsge icon pops up on the bottom of the screen. Weird did not work last week. Is there s way to make it do an audible alert?

Not sure, but I would check the volume setting level under the notifications section.
Mine worked as well today! I think the key for me was after it sync'd I had to go into the Bluetooth function on the phone and turn on the sync in that menu. Now it does show the icon when a text comes in while riding. I had hoped it would display the message so the wife could text "emergency" if she needed me to stop right then and call. Instead I told her to call and I would answer the call and then told her to just say call me now. Since I can hear her thru the bike speakers this should work as a way to get me to stop right then and call her back.
Turn off Imessage and turn on sms on your phone. The text will NOT show up on the screen while you are moving. You will see an icon at the bottom so you know you have a text ( with an alert sound you set). Must be stationary to view the message inbox. On the other hand an incoming call WILL show up on the screen. Can be answered if wearing headset. Perhaps have them call twice in a row if an emergency and you don't want to wear the headset.
I've heard multiple people say that you CANNOT view/hear text messages while riding (i.e. only when you're stopped).....yet I've also heard people talk about receiving texts while riding. So which way is it supposed to be? The owner's manual does not say anything about needing to be stopped to get texts???
I have iPhone 5 on Verizon. Just got my Street Glide Standard today. When I have the ignition switch on accessory I can read and hear the texts read to me. When the engine was idling in neutral, however, I got nothing.
