Had a similar issue on my 2011 Ultra: Since I had ESP, took it to the dealer.

They replaced the shifter shaft seal, said they noticed a charging problem & replaced the stator as well, and now I have no more small drips under the bike.

They said the drips were due to the oil seal on the shifter shaft though, not from the stator.

I can't imagine you damaging anything by jacking the bike. I'd suspect that your oil leak is simply coincidental and not at all related to jacking the bike.

The most common leak points have already been mentioned in this thread. 1) Transmission @ exhaust bracket; 2) Stator wires @ left front of engine case; 3) Shifter shaft seal.

What you need to do is clean the bike thoroughly of all the oil residue and then ride it a short distance and inspect. By doing this you can determine the source of the leak before the oil spreads all over the place making identification difficult, if not impossible.

My 2011 has had three leaks over it's 60,000 miles. I never had item 1 above as I fixed that before it ever leaked, but I did have leaks from items 2 & 3 above, and also a leak at the transmission main drive gear seal. Each of them were very simple to identify once I cleaned and inspected as described above.

clean the bike really well and then shoot some baby powder on it and take it for a ride. makes it easy to see where it's coming from. or spray deoderent works well also.

Did you install new o-rings on the drain plugs? Re-using them is bad news. I have done it and found it to be a really bad idea. If this is the cause, you should notice some leakage around the drain itself. It will coat pretty much anything underneath in time.

These wires come from the stator inside the primary case. I had a leak I couldn't find for a long time. Dealer checked it out and said I needed a new stator at a cool $500+ (huh??). I told them to hold off on it, brought the bike home, did some research online, and found that this is not uncommon.

It was the stator harness coming out of the primary case; the seal around the harness as it comes out breaks down and leaks. The fix for most people as well as myself was to carefully put some RTV sealant around the seal where it leaks from (after cleaning out the gunked up oil), then let it cure for 24 hours. Hasn't leaked since, and didn't have to spend upwards of $500 for a new stator & labor that I didn't need.

Good luck.
this one little hole covered the entire bottom of my bike until I realized this was were it was leaking from, RTV and a good wash and no more oil leak!

That's funny! I have one bike with 60,000 miles, another with 80,000 miles. Neither has ever had a drain plug o-ring (nor a derby cover quad-ring) replaced and neither of them show any sign of leakage.
