I've been putting Goo gone on painted bikes and cars for many, many years with no damage whatsoever. Hell, I even used it on my Wife tonight. She had surgery and after we took the 3-day bandage off, she wanted to know how to remove the sticky tape residue. I said, "no problem, Goo gone and a microfiber. We'll remove it from your shoulder just like we removed the goo residue from your new car after removing the stupid dealer logo." Anyway, I've used it for every and will continue to do so.
your going to get just as much glare off your dash/ fuel cap.. but that plate will pull rite off. i would like to have one, my dash is kind of faded rite there..
OP, the Goo Gone works and wont damage the paint if you remove it quickly. Be diligent Grasshopper.
Bet you are getting more glare from that stock gas lid. Here in Florida the sun can even make the asphalt glare. I dont have the 'sun glare' problem any longer since I removed the stock gas lid.
Put a "Live to Ride' cover on (as I did on my '95 Ultra, back in 96). It was the theme I was looking for anyway. To each his own!!! There may well be many other options.
