Default How can I remove this?
This thing drives me nuts when the sun hits it. I can't figure out any other way to shield the sun's reflection from it. I want to remove it and possible repaint the plate. I hate chrome!!!!

That should be a cover held on by two sided tape. You should be able to pry it up and then use alcohol to remove and remaining tape and stickiness. It might take some effort and might bend the cover removing but if you don't want the chrome just man handle it and toss it in the trash when you get it off. Best of luck!

If you go to their web page and click on more info there are install instructions and it will give you an idea how they put it on for easy removal.

Take a scotch pad to it. But neatly, work in a pattern.

That or VERY VERY fine steel wool and rub in a circular motion to give a brushed stainless look.

Soak it with a bit of GOO Gone and it will peel right off and the left over stick tape will come off with no damage

You might try gently heating it with a heat gun. Be sure you don'tgget it too hot. Should loosen the 2 sided tape.

Just grab that bitch and rip it off like an old Band-Aid. It's only 2-sided tape.
