Default 2014 SGS Windshield

I know what they say.....opinions are like *ssholes.....everyones got one and they all stink, but I need some opinions for what you new SG owners are using for windshields. I'm a wind in the face guy......don't put the windshield on my RK until it gets too effin' cold. But going to the bat wing and its aerodynamic "improvements". Not sure what windscreen to put on. Stock? Windsplitter? LRS?. I'm 6'3'', and I don't want all that buffeting from the new vent whacking me in the helmet doing 80 down the freeway, but I still want some cool breeze when I'm hitting the twisties.

I just ordered the 7inch Windsplitter because after asking around this forum everyone said the 7in blocks face wind so that was my choice....

I'm going 7" windsplitter when mine comes in. Dad's limited has it and he hasn't stopped talking about it. He's 5'9", but said the turbulence was well above his helmet.

Just went from a stock shield to the 7" Windsplitter. I used it the other day for the first time. Definitely better than stock but not outstanding. With stock my glasses would start to bounce around at 70mph. With the Windsplitter they wouldn't start to bounce around until I hit 85mph (with a half helmet on). When I took my helmet off (which I don't really like to do unless cruising around town) I didn't feel any wind until I got it up to 95 MPH. I'm interested in what the LRS 8" would be like. I am 5'10 180lbs with a 30 inch inseam.

At 6'3" with a 32 inseam. The 7" windsplitter puts all the wind right at my ears. Make for a very loud ride. I demo'd the 10" and while it does work. I don't like the looks. I'm waiting for Dec/Jan when everyone will release their new catalogs and see what's available.

I bought the 7" Long Ride Shield with recurve in dark tint and it's worlds better than the stock shield. It's not a Perfect air bubble and no 7" shield will give you that much protection but it still looks good and does what I ask of it.
