It's not a 2014, but I used the Progressive Drop in springs on an '08 SG and it made a huge difference for me. Dropped it almost 2 inches, I do not ride aggressively at all so it handles just fine for me.
Grew up on the IL side of the border just off Lake Michigan. Settled in TX after I go out of the Corps almost 50 yrs ago. I visit in summer. Can't handle the winters anymore.
Bagger Werxs Adjustable Rear shock loweing kit # 598157 eating a hole in saddle bags!
Anyone else that has used Bagger Werxs Adjustable Rear shock loweing kit # 598157 might want to check their saddle bags. I had this installed by the dealer on my 14 SGS The shocks have rubbed against my saddle bags on both sides and have eaten a hole into both saddle bags. I just purchased a 2014 Street Glide Special I am only 5' 5" and I needed it lowered in order to feel comfortable riding it. While talking to my dealer prior to purchasing the SGS I asked about lowering it and was told NO PROBLEM it won't void the waranty or mess up the ride or cause any issues with the bike and they had used the Bagger Werx Adjustable Rear Shock Lowering Kit # 598157 on several other SGS. Well I must be the only one to take the bags off to clean it cause I am the only one reporting that the shocks are eating holes in my saddle bags.
Am I the only one having this problem? Is there something wrong with the kit or the set up of my bike?
If anyone else has had this problem please let me know!!!
Thanks
