Thanks to all the good tips andand advice on these boards, I dove in over the weekend even though it was near 80 degrees outside. Here's what she looks like now.
First off is the fork uppers and lowers. Next is the bars, grips, and switch covers. After that, the heads are going to get massaged, and a gear drive cam is going in. I'll finish that off with a new exhaust. Contemplating some paint work, but haven't completely decided on that yet.
Thanks to all who are sharing the wealth of knowlege. I have't gotten this dirty since my car stereo shop 12 years ago. WOOOHOOOO!!
Just so you'll know from looking at the pics............it would run better with both wheels on it![sm=icon_rofl.gif]
Good luck with the build and if you have any extra screws left over after putting it all back together...........throwthem inthe trash and act like you never saw them.
I know I have got some good ides like the gear drive and sert. Dam them now with the 100 100 club , paint show down thread. first real nice day here today . What up grades are you haveing done?
I think you have your seasons mixed up? You were supposed to start doing mods back in December so you would be ready to ride when the temp hits 80! I will wait until the cold weather hits again before I do anything other than a new tire on the back that has been on back order since 2/21. Enjoy the wrenching and get on with the riding!!!
