No more cat in the headpipe on my '12 RGU, bought a gutted cat stock headpipe, direct bolt up and no issues with quality of welder. Took it out for a quick ride, weather here is not very forgiving of late and work has been a bear with odd shifts.
First notice, much louder with the stock mufflers, not quite as loud as the '03 with Monster Ovals but close. At first stop light power off the line is smoother, seemed to turn on easier with less throttle, will see after a few days riding.
Second big notice, heat, lack thereof, no boiling heat trying to roast my butt sitting at stops. Quite nice from the previous experience.
